RECOMS fellow, Rubén Vezzoni has recently started to collaborate for his doctoral research with the University of East Anglia and the Erlham Institute on the GROW Colombia project. GROW Colombia brings together a consortium of international partners to strengthen research capability in biological sciences, computational biology, and socio-economic research under a shared vision centred on biodiversity conservation as a means to achieve sustainability and peace in Colombia. Rubén is investigating the offer of community-based eco-tourism in Colombia, with several partners covering the diversity of the Colombian ecosystems: from the Caribbean coast of Santa Marta to the mountains of the National Park of Tatamá and the Amazon rainforest.
